... And a hug was what he got, suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere. Just like every time she felt like her words were falling short, her feelings wouldn't come out the way she wanted to, she'd replace the words with physical interaction. With half dead, yet strong hope that the skin-on-skin gestures would be able to communicate better in her words' stead.
But she couldn't hug people so freely whenever that happened, so she hugged him instead. She wrapped her arms around his torso, buried her face in him and squeezed him. Too strong, too desperate and a bit bitter, because somehow, she was still hugging the wrong person.
