Making policy without a cost-benefit analysis is like
flying an airplane without an instrument panel.

Guaranteed to crash.

E.g. don't forget that inflation is a DIRECT consequence of lockdowns.

For 20 years I have been preparing or assessing cost-benefit analyses for the Victorian government but when it mattered most - for lockdowns - the Victorian government abandoned this essential policy design method.

2022-06-21 01:52:49 I'm loathe to recommend any work of Cass Sunstein due to his advocacy of the communist nudge theory, but on the benefits of a cost benefit analysis he got it mostly right (his 1999 paper - freely available to read: https://chicagounbound.uchicago.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1108&context=law_and_economics).

Lockdowns have killed around half a million children, mainly in Africa, from the dislocation caused: https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0263245

This is just the tip of the iceberg. Vast numbers have been killed from delayed cancer diagnosis & the poor have been devastated - & now inflation.

Have updated and removed the word "lies" (which they are) - substituted with the more polite: "gross exaggerations"; provided reference re: John Ioannidis's claim and the link to CBA; and emphasised what should have been done (care for the elderly).

(Also the size of the flyer was wrong; have fixed it).

Will try flyer distribution companies again - if this amended version works. I have no choice but to keep trying.

An explicit or implicit CBA of public health interventions has always been part of the public health literature. The greatest failure of the WHO in 2020-22 has been to not follow its own CBA guidelines (from 2006). Without a CBA public health policy WILL ALWAYS KILL, not save.

Here's a good paper (2021) on the status of CBA in health sector in Australia: https://health-policy-systems.biomedcentral.com/track/pdf/10.1186/s12961-021-00796-w.pdf

The Treasury requires a CBA for interventions that cost >$10m. And for lockdowns and other "health" measures costing hundreds of billions, no CBA!

2022-06-20 13:06:50 I've been asked: Do I have any views on issues other than covid? I do. I have written extensively on a wide range of issues. I've linked some of the writings here: https://www.sabhlokcity.com/who-am-i/candidate-for-bulleen/

I’m a classical liberal with a conservative approach to society and family. My worldview is found in my book, Breaking Free of Nehru and manuscript, The Discovery of Freedom. I’ve written a book on economics for children and have thousands of policy-related posts on my blog, and over a hundred policy articles on my Times of India blog – and many in various newspapers. I’m currently writing a detailed manuscript on public policy for economists.

Matthew Guy can't fool us. These people were fully complicit in the lies and harms perpetrated in Victoria by Dan Andrews.

I've asked him to take $11,000 from me if he can prove the false claims of his leaders and his party.

It is inhuman to distribute flyers across 25,000 homes. I asked a distribution company for a quote and their management has declined to distribute since the DL flyer is "too controversial".

One can't even begin to fathom how the truth is being destroyed. 1984.
