The Hungarian Pengö banknote in 1945-1946 had the highest inflation rate in the history of money circulation on the globe. In July 1946 the derivative unit Adopengő was introduced, equal to two trillion Pengő. In the same month, the Edi (one) billion trillion (that is, 10 to the 21st degree) Pengyo bill was issued, the largest denomination bill on Earth.
