Celsus Library.Like the Parthenon in Greece, the Library of Celsus is merely the ruins of a building, but it is still considered a marvel. The Library of Celsus, located in Ephesus, was built in honor of the great Roman senator Julius Celsus.
The library once housed 12,000 scrolls for public reading. Celsus' remains are buried under the main entrance to the library and it is the fact that the man was buried outside the library that is incredibly rare.
