Rumours are abound of a major trucky strike on monday here in Australia, and many are stocking up on a few weeks of food just in case. Apparently they plan on blocking major highways with their trucks.
I haven't seen anything to substantiate that this is actually happening apart from a few truckies posting online videos, which is far from a confirmation.
If they did go ahead then it would need to be at least hundreds of them in order to make it successful, and thousands to make it seriously effective.
If it's just a few then the government will look to make an example of them. They will risk big fines for them and their companies, made to look like villians in the media, and maybe even criminally charged.
I'm pointing this out because it will take a lot of courage to do what they're doing and enough numbers to make it really impactful. For these reasons I'm skeptical that it's going to occur, but also praying that it does because it could really make a big difference.
Truck drivers are like the nervous system of society and everything relies on them, including government. They hold so much power and they know it.

What do you guys think, any chance it will happen or are people just spreading false hopium once again?

I've stocked up on a few weeks of food just in case. If it does happen then once normies realise what's going on the panic buying will be biblical.
