Alexa is an SEO tool like Semrush, Ahrefs etc.. which i think provided best results in keyword research and finding competitor sites easily.

Also, there are a lot of sites that provides special consideration for sites with a good Alexa rank. Eg: There is an Ad network that gives special ad placements for sites with Alexa rank under 500k.
