Expect sumptuous songs, Flamenco rhythms, wry humour and an orchestral swirl of colours unique to this evening of music inspired by Spain. French composer Maurice's "The Spanish Hour" is a 50-min opera of charm and comedy. This light-hearted introduction to opera is followed by a programme of colourful orchestral songs and showcases, culminating in Ravel's unforgettable masterpiece, "Bolero".
