Now, Lim Tean is crying because eggs, which he enjoys, are expensive.
Thanks to diversification of food sources, eggs are not in short supply and Lim Tean can still enjoy eggs for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The rise in prices is due to higher chicken feed prices and logistic costs, the result of disruptions in the world. It impacts the whole world, not just Singapore. For example, when fuel price goes up, transportation of the eggs will cost more.
That's the world we live in today. The pandemic has not ended while another challenge has emerged with the Russia-Ukraine war. We don't know when these will end.
But we know we need leaders with good heads on their shoulders, not frogs in the well and petty politicians.
