​​Armchair expert Goh Meng Seng claimed that vaccines have failed to protect people. In fact, people will soon be dying from vaccines. He pointed to the excess deaths in UK and elsewhere as evidence.

Definition of excess deaths. In normal circumstances, a certain number of deaths from all causes are expected in a given period. In a pandemic, the number of deaths in that period will be higher. The difference between the number of deaths during a pandemic and during normal circumstances gives the excess deaths.

The excess deaths are due to the pandemic, not vaccines.

We should expect the number of deaths to increase when there is a pandemic. If the total number of deaths during a pandemic is the same as the number of deaths in normal circumstances, then we can't be in any pandemic or dangerous time, right folks?

GMS does not need to look far to know that vaccines make a big difference especially for the older folks.

Honh Kong has recorded 1,202,292 infections and 9,267 deaths.

Singapore has recorded 1,184,226 infections and 1,331 deaths.

The numbers speak for themselves.

At least 96% of our population are fully vaccinated with the majority boosted as well. Many seniors have recovered at home because they are protected by vaccines. Even high-risk seniors have recovered because they are vaccinated and boosted. Deaths had been greatly reduced, thanks to vaccines and all the measures taken by the taskforce to ensure a healthcare system that is able to give best care to those who develop a serious disease from the infection.
