MFA said in a press statement that Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan replied to their Malaysian counterparts on 26 April 2022 to convey that Nagaenthran A/L K Dharmalingam had been accorded full due process under the law.

Malaysia Prime Minister Ismail Sabri and their Foreign Minister Mr Saifuddin had sent letters this week to PM Lee and Dr Vivian to ask them to consider and commute the death sentence on Nagaenthran.
