-KENNETH FOO-

With the easing of restrictions by government, it was a delightful sight to see many residents returning to Block 216 Hawker to meet up with their friends for a cup of Kopi.

A group of ladies were baffled by the seating arrangement in the hawker centre as duct tapes pasted on the seats meant some of the tables can only seat 3 or 4, instead of the 5 allowable. They had been to other markets and saw the tapes removed so diners can seat up to the allowable limit. Will assist them to log a feedback through One Service App for Town Council take action.

On another table, I spoke to Mr Tan (real name) and he informed me that he is currently working for the Town Council as a cleaner. He have to sweep 2 HDB blocks a day and his pay is $1,000. Although not earning much, he is happy that he is able to earn his own living. We met many resilient individuals like Mr Tan during our visits and WP will continue to speak up for the low wage workers in parliament.

Once again, thanks for the many feedback provided by residents.

By the way, it seems like the Kueh Chap here is so famous till friends from Jurong came all the way to support them. Too bad we are always always having back to back visits so could not give it a try. Will be back to try soon!
