Jamii.One Users Received Their First Loan
Jamii.one, a platform that allows savings groups to record their saving activities, has partnered with Metamamen MFI to provide loans for its 80 users for the first time. An additional 70 Jamii user are expected to receive a loan this month as well.
The loan that has to be repaid in 6 months, includes a 3-month grace period for re-payment, and it is based on group collateral.
Jamii aims to digitalize traditional and offline savings groups in Ethiopia and other African countries in order to connect them with Formal financial institutions.
