Akon is creating something extraordinary in Senegal. This Wakanda-like city will be a futuristic city build on the decentralized Stellar blockchain and run on solar power. It’s going to be akin to an African biophillic Singapore, but better if he pulls this off.
Unlike other futuristic city projects like those in the Middle East, this one doesn’t appear like it’s going to be a surveillance state. Phase 1 completes in 2023 and the city will be entirely finished in 2029.
