This is massive news. For the first time ever, a sovereign nation has made Bitcoin legal tender, meaning anyone selling a good or service in the contry of El Salvador must accept Bitcoin.
Panama and Paraguay are also saying they are going to do the same. A major financial shift away from using fiat US dollars that have an unlimited supply (which is what countries like El Salvador were using as their legal tender) to using cryptocurrencies with limited supply is now happening.
