Geo-political tension between Russia-Ukraine and the prospect of tightening Federal Reserve monetary policy pulled down across the global markets. Traders shifted from equity to gold after the U.S. ramped up warnings of a possible Russian attack on Ukraine. Gold price spiked to 8-month high of above $1900/ounce. The US President Joe Biden said "every indication we have is that they're prepared to go into Ukraine."
