2022-05-18 16:44:15 My friends,

Apologies for my unannounced absence. It all started with an important deadline that forced me to put everything else aside for a few intense days. I decided a while ago to complete my university education despite the fact that the whole programme and the entire university is characterized by a soul-wrenching wokeism. Our latest seminar started with everyone having to present themselves with preferred pronouns, which explains everything you need to know about the education system in Sweden. I know it is the same in other parts of the world as well. The primary reason for my decision is that I do not have much left so I decided to finish what I have started.

I intend to do the same with what we do in this movement, although I am rather unsure of how to establish a family life, obtain my degree, find myself a job that is morally defensible in a societal system plagued by immorality, while also maintaining the level of commitment in relation to what this movement aims to achieve. But it is my burden to bear and my problem to solve, if I want to continue to be a tiny part of this historically important movement. Many others obviously make it work.

The discrepancy between life in our society and the truth about our reality feels unbearable some days. Living in a different reality in relation to your fellow human beings, circle of acquaintances and friends for such a long time is difficult. And sometimes it feels easier to take a step back and to distract myself with things that once made up my social life and my hobbies. I do not want to be dishonest about that. I guess I am slightly younger than the majority of the individuals who are part of the movement and at a stage of my life where much still needs to be worked out, but it is no excuse for giving up. Amor fati.

In light of this, I would also like to mention that I have been following the events of recent weeks despite my inactivity here. There is a lot to be optimistic about and I have never doubted that we are moving towards a bright future, even though the time aspect and the amount of constructive suffering that sadly is necessary has probably been misjudged by most of us. My activity will most likely be somewhat fluctuating over the next two weeks as well, but after the semester I hope to be able to find my way back to a more stable and continuous activity.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you all are well and in good spirits. God bless you all!

Sincerely,
Sokrates XVII
