The Special Task Force (Taakmag) is an elite police tactical unit operating beyond the scope of the everyday police force. This unit was initially created to fight against black guerilla terrorists trying to infiltrate Rhodesia during the 1960s to 1970s. Over the last twenty years, the active Task Force has shrunk by more than 60% due to companies recruiting for PMCs and private security forces.
