What could be the real waiting?

Remember those ten virgins,who took their lamp and went forth to meet the bridegroom?

What are we doing in our waiting? Are we all set and Go when the time comes?
For fear of losing or the excitement of meeting, are we gonna take extra oil just like the wise ones did? Or are we of the foolish ones not caring that much and not seeing forth?

Even the wise ones slumbered and slept with the foolish when the bridegroom tarried, but when the time came it was no worry for the wise one's for they were prepared way too much.

If what you are expecting comes in even late, you forget about the delay and get excited for the coming, because you have been waiting.

As for the foolish one's, maybe they wanted to see the bridegroom eagerly too but that wasn't enough, it needed some extra thing which they were careless about.

We may have many questions in which we didn't get answers to and are waiting for God, but are we leaning our ears to the door to know whether to Know if He is there or not?
Are we making Him wait outside the door?
ጠይቀን ተነስተን: ግን መልሱ እስኪመጣ ያሻንን እያደረግን ይሆን?
ሲጣራ ሳንሰማ ደጅ እያስጠናነው ይሆን?

That is for each and everyone of us to answer
May God help us recognize His Voice and Open the door early.
And while we are waiting, May He guide us in what to do in the waiting!
