Questions to ask yourself that help to understand if you're on | Startups & Ventures

Questions to ask yourself that help to understand if you're on a correct path in your startup journey:

1. Do you have an idea? What problem does it solve? If you don't know the problem, go find it. The next questions don't apply until then.

2. Can you state a problem clearly? If it takes an essay to describe, probably it's not that clear.

3. Have you experienced it yourself? If so, it's good because you know what the pain points are.

4. Do you know what kind of people has the same problem?

5. How often do they have the problem? If they return after 5 years, that's not great.

6. How intense is the problem? It should be intense, so people return to you, pay money just to diminish the problem.

7. Are people willing to pay? And to test that you need to sell the product because questions like that on potential customers don't work as you expect.

8. How easy the potential customers to find? They will not be searching for you.

The other questions are more about is your product solves the problem and finding a product-market fit. That's another topic.
