Infographic: LGBT+ prevalence map: highest and lowest rates by country.According to a 2023 Ipsos survey, 9% of adults identify as LGBT+. The poll was conducted online in 30 countries, including respondents who identify as Lesbian/gay/homosexual, Bisexual, Pansexual/omnisexual, Asexual, Transgender, Non-binary/gender non-conforming/gender-fluid and Other than male or female. Brazil has the highest percentage of people identifying as LGBT+ at 15%, followed by Spain (14%) and Switzerland (13%). The United States comes in above the average at 10%. Of those, 3% identified as gay, 5% as bisexual and 1% as pansexual or omnisexual.
