Police were seen pushing back on COVID-sceptics as tensions arose. At least one fight briefly broke out between the two the anti-lockdown protesters and a member of the Antifa.
The protest took place just days before Chancellor Angela Merkel is set to meet state leaders to discuss an extension of the lockdown restrictions initially imposed in December amidst fears Germany may be heading towards a 'third wave' of COVID-19 amidst mounting infection rates. "
