Earlier today (Saturday), a protest calling for the release of 3 political prisoners (conscientious objectors) was held in front of IDF Prison 10 (Neve Tzedek), where the prisoners are held – due to their refusal to serve the Occupation. This demonstration was organized by the Israeli Communist Party and its Young Guard, as well as with the pro-peace organizations Mesarvot and Yesh Gvul. MK Ofer Cassif (Hadash – Joint List) spoke at the protest exclaiming: “Those who guard checkpoints and refuse to let a pregnant woman looking to get to the Hospital are no heroes; Those who fire at protestors that are fighting for their freedoms on the border in Gaza… are no heroes; Those who are in the Occupied Territories and murder protestors are no heroes. Those who refuse to be war criminals are heroes.”
