Give in
If you give in it means you have been resisting something, you've been saying No to something, but then over time you stop resisting, you do the thing or you just give in.
Examples:
Recently I've been trying not to eat so much sugar, because it's not good for you. But the other day I was at the food festival, and they had delicious homemade doughnuts, so I gave in .
Don't even try to change Annie's mind. She never gives in.
To 'give up' means to stop trying. To 'give in' means someone has been trying to convince you of something and you finally agree.
