The huge DarkMarket trading platform on the darknet has been liquidated
One of the huge DarkMarket trading platforms was liquidated on the darknet networks, where drugs, counterfeit money, user databases, and malware were sold.
From the obtained data, the administrator of the resource "DarkMarket", a 34-year-old resident of Australia, was arrested near the Denmark border. The arrested person refused to testify.
The service servers were located on the territory of Ukraine and Moldova. Their total number is more than 20 pieces. Law enforcement agencies hope that the data obtained from them will help to reach the organizers and sellers of this trading network.
After the arrest of the administrator, law enforcement officers took steps to disconnect the trading platform from its servers. The police said that DarkMarket was used by about 500 thousand buyers and 2.4 thousand sellers. In total, at least 320 thousand transactions were carried out on it, transactions were made in cryptocurrencies. The total amount of funds spent on the site is about 140 million euros at the current exchange rate.
