Teachers, are you in love with teaching English?
Join our new workshop 'Why it didn't work' by Christopher Reese on 17 February!

Having observed hundreds of teachers in a variety of contexts, Chris found that there are certain things which, more often than not, prevent even skilled teachers from being as successful in the classroom as they can be.

In this practical session, participants will examine a few case studies of real lessons which didn’t fully meet their aims in order to develop a better understanding of key teaching concepts, and will leave with a framework for self-reflection to help them more accurately look back on their own teaching so that they can grow even more than they already are.

Key takeaways:

A better understanding of common problems that hold lessons back
Practical tips and ideas to prevent or address these issues
A simple, practical framework for self-reflection to apply in everyday teaching

Christopher Reese works as a teacher trainer on the CELTA and DELTA Module One preparation courses. His main interests include the role of memory in language learning, how to assess learning in the classroom, development of learners’ receptive skills, and the role of feedback in effective learning.

Self-reflection and the ability to deconstruct your lesson effectively are an important part of teacher education and development and a key feature of both the CELTA and DELTA courses.

See you on 17 February!
