Nikolas Cruz has said the families of the victims should decide, “whether I live or die” after pleading guilty to murdering 17 people in Florida back in 2018.
“I have to live with it every day… It brings me nightmares, and I can’t live with myself... I can't watch TV” the now 23-year-old said addressing the courtroom.
Cruz’s plea now means the trial will proceed more quickly, in which he could be given the death penalty.
