Researchers have built an algorithm capable of identifying depression from Twitter posts

Researchers from Brunel University of London and the University of Leicester have developed an algorithm that analyzes user posts on Twitter for signs of depression. It was trained on a database containing the history of thousands of Twitter users and along with their mental health info.
