Boonah Community Ants was set up to inform & enable the community to be active participants in the control and suppression of the invasive pest species fire ants.
What they have since discovered is that their participation was not wanted by the program. They were only interested in compulsory baiting of our environment with a 100% coverage mentality.
Nowhere in the world has there been such a huge releases of chemical insect growth regulators into the environment. The release has been indiscriminate & against permit of use conditions.
The community group has sent numerous letters to politicians & bureaucrat authorities, with no acknowledgement that they believe the program is committing environmental harm with the very real possibility that our natural pollinators will be affected by their continual mass insecticide program.
