8/27/21 5:05 PM EDT | #Ida is now forecast to become a category 4 hurricane before landfall in southeast/southcentral Louisiana Sunday. The National Hurricane Center is forecasting Ida to rapidly intensify over the Gulf and have maximum sustained winds of 140 mph at landfall. A Hurricane Warning is now in effect from Intracoastal City to the Mouth of the Pearl River, including Lake Pontchartrain, Lake Maurepas, and Metropolitan New Orleans.
