Calgary police chief Mark Neufeld has admitted that they will not be enforcing the March 18 "temporary" injunction on the "Red Mile" during the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and that they intend to enforce it only on protests against medical mandates.
The injunction was clearly written to apply to the entire City of Calgary, with no mention of it being specifically targeted at protests anywhere in the document.
The injunction makes such things as using amplified devices, honking horns and temporarily blocking roads or sidewalks all subject to arrest.
It was drafted as a temporary injunction a month ago, yet remains in effect with no discussion or indication of when it will expire.
