Fellowship (Partaking)

That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. 1 John 1:3 KJV

In 1 John 1:1-2, Apostle John began to talk about the life of God that has been made available through Christ for us. After saying these things, he made the statement in our head verse. He was saying he and the other Apostles had shared these things with us so that we may have fellowship with them. Now, for a more clearer message, we can take ‘fellowship with them’ to mean ‘be partakers with them’. They had entered an experience of the life of God and they called us to same through the grace given to them. In fellowshipping there’s a partaking. So that what is yours becomes mine and what is mine becomes yours. So Apostle John goes on to say; truly our partaking is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. Because it was of God they received the life, through fellowship. Therefore now that we have been brought into fellowship with God, we should understand that we are partakers of all that is in him. However we receive the revelation of these glorious riches when we talk to him and he talks to us. Christ has brought us into fellowship (oneness) with the Father. Be in communication with the Father to walk in the experience of his life in you.
