Stir up Faith in others [1]
The hearts of many are turned towards the circumstances surrounding them more than the word of God. The faith of many is fading, not many of our own in the church really take to heart what God said. It was like in Jesus’s day when he could only call out the faith of very few individuals and acclaim it. He showed up on a scene where the people were more in tune with the happenings surrounding them than with what God had told them. The scriptures were read in the synagogues for a routine, the prayers of the people were made religiously. There were very few who took what God had said to heart. The people were in oppression under the Roman government. Their circumstance had become more real to them than their promises, than their prophecies. The word of God was faded in their hearts. Look around you today, you won’t find many of our own standing up in faith. We’re committed to our posture in church and our communities but holding back from living our identity. We’re in a place like the people Jesus came to meet. We need to awaken to truth. Let’s begin to recall what God said. Let’s start speaking the word of God to each other again. God will come through, he will honor his word.
