David versus Goliath.

A representative of God versus a representative of Satan.

Was the battle difficult for David against Goliath? No. David won easily.

Where was David truly tested?

With Saul, the King of Israel. By his own people.

David was pursued, betrayed, and wrestled for years with someone He served and loved. But Saul discarded God’s anointing and sought to serve himself. God judged Saul in His perfect timing.

And after David became king, the chief threat to Israel was never a war or foreign adversary. It was always when David’s personal walk with the Lord was compromised. Curse was brought upon David by and through his adultery with Bathsheba. A husband murdered and a child born through sin was taken.

My point?

When is the Church invincible?

When it walks with the Lord.

Take the time to take a break from the world and go for a long walk with Jesus.
