First, I was called to submit my DS-160, I-20, passport on counter 3. Then, I was redirected to counter 11 to take a fingerprint. After that, I waited for about 10 minutes. There were 2 counters (4 and 5) where Non-immigrant visa interviews were being held. I was called to counter 5. The officer didn't ask usual questions. He mostly checked all the documents one by one. I think he checked whether I know the the documents well. Asked some tricky questions related to finances. I got some unexpected questions. However, there was friendly atmosphere and it went smoothly.

VO: Hi.
ME: Good morning officer.
VO: Just wait a minute. I'm gonna finish with processing. You stay here though.
ME: Ok.
VO: Ok, give me the documents.
ME: (I pointed to I-20, DS-160, SEVIS fee receipt, passport) These?
VO: Yeah, all of them.
ME: Ok, here.
VO: (Checked the pasport) You live in Abu Dhabi?
ME: No, I live in Uzbekistan. I came here to study at 42.
VO: Sorry, what?
ME: 42 school
VO: I didn't hear about that, tell about it.
ME: 42 is a non-profit organization, like a bootcamp that was founder by Xavier in France and it has number of branches around the world, Abu Dhabi, Silicon Valley, Adelaide, Germany. (interrupted)
VO: Ok, so you're gonna take Computer Science or what?
ME: Yeah, I'm gonna study Bachelor's degree at Missouri state university.
VO: (Looking at my offer letter) Ohh, you got scholarship, congrats!
ME: Yeah, It's the excellence scholarship, highest scholarship that's worth $7,500 per year.
VO: Great, not a 100% though, but it's very good.
ME: Yeah, it's 50%.
VO: (looking at financial documents) Ohh, you father's salary is very low to pay the expenses.
ME: He works as ### at ### and he owns ### business.
VO: so, he has a business?! Is the salary from business higher or lower than his job?
ME: Higher.
VO: How much he gets from business and job?
ME: So, from his job his salary is around $××××× per year and from the business he gets around $××××× per year.
VO: So, it's about $××××× per year in total, yeah?
ME: Umm, no, it's $××××× per year.
VO: Ok, that's good. How you're gonna pay for your education?
ME: So, my plan is this, my father has deposited $××××× to his bank account and we have an asset that we can sell for about $×××××. In total, it becomes $××××× which is enough to cover the expenses throughout 3 years. And for the final year, my father's salary is enough, so we can pay that.
VO: Ok, what are going to do after university?
ME: I will come back to Uzbekistan and I wanna gain some real-life experience at company. (Interrupted)
VO: You don't wanna get $100,000/year and work in Silicon Valley.
ME: Yeah, but my family is in Uzbekistan and I lived 3-4 months without my family and here I'm in Abu Dhabi, so it's hard without family.
VO: It's 4 years, you're gonna get used to it. Just it makes more sense to me.
ME: Yeah, maybe (interrupted)
VO: Yeah, It's just a plan, everything can happen.
ME: Yes
VO: Ok then, I will approve your visa. You're able to pay for the first year of university, but I believe you will succeed. So, best of luck
ME: Thank you!
VO: Just hold a moment, I will fill in the system.
ME: Ok.
VO: I'm approving your visa! Good luck!
ME: Thank you officer.
