[PREMIERE] Roman Avan - Insomnia

"Insomnia" was primarily inspired by the state of my emotional condition at that moment. I wanted to create something euphoric, melodic, and upbeat while expressing the state of insomnia (sleepless). The track starts with a strong kick and the main Synth lead sound that expresses the state of Insomnia. Later supported by dark analog created synth sounds and accompanying effects it immediately creates the dark atmospheric feelings of the sleepless night. The track is driven by a heavy incessant beat before steaming off into a head-banging loop built for dancefloor rumbles in the first drop – primarily driven by the energetic deep acid Synth sound. The atmospheric frantic sounds of the lead synth continues to drive through the verse towards the anticipation in the Main break, where it brings the breath taking saw synth sound along with the pad and drones creating the feeling of continues Insomnia before exploding in the second drop with even more stronger energetic loop of synths accompanied by hats and ride. The energy, technical precision, and banging percussion supported by euphoric melodies and beats captivate and put the audience in the state of techno daze. This can keep the crowd pinned to the dancefloor and keep them there forever.
My name is Roman Avanesyan (artistic name Roman Avan) and I am originally from Armenia; now living in Los Angeles, California with my wife and my daughter since 2006. I have a multi-disciplinary background and have a major in Biotechnology and Information Technology. By day I work in IT Consulting and help clients in different industry verticals with IT solutions to improve their businesses. I also have a musical background and outside of regular work I am a very passionate music producer! I started producing in 2018 as a self-taught producer and I transformed my musical background into a deep passion for electronic music – especially Techno, Melodic Techno, and TechHouse genres. I turned all my life musical inspirations from my mother and my uncle and also inspirations later taken from artists such as ATB, Boris Brejcha, Acid Pauli, Carl Cox, and Charlotte de Witte into euphoric electronic transcendence of Techno genre. Techno music is also something that pushed me to express my feelings, while connecting with my audience on the same waves. Not many people may be familiar with me yet, perhaps not even those who prioritize electronic music above all other genres, but operating largely under the radar I have got an extensive amount of great tunes under my belt and I am actively working now in expanding my reach and creating music on a weekly basis. While initially I was self-releasing my creations, at this point I have been releasing music on multiple labels and I am proud to share that I have been recently charting number 3 on TOP 100 Techno Releases Chart on Beatport. I am definitely looking forward to creating more on a regular basis! For the near future I envision myself continuing to create more and influencing more people and my fans. The idea of me being able to create more Techno music and inspire more people is the biggest motivation for me. I enjoy the process and will accept where this process takes me next! I work with multiple labels at this point and expanding my horizon more and challenging myself with new goals and objectives every day. While I am focusing on production I am also planning to start expanding my reach through Dj-ing events by playing my music and the music of some of my favorite artists and labels! These are very exciting times!
