Hungary's chief meteorologist was fired for incorrect weather forecasts.
The government bought 40,000 fireworks to celebrate the national holiday with "the biggest fireworks display in Europe". Seven hours before the holiday, meteorologists predicted heavy rain, and the fireworks were canceled.
But the forecast did not come true. The head of the meteorological service and his deputy were fired for this.
