1730: Solomon de Medina died.
Army financier, contractor and adviser to William of Orange, who invaded England in 1689. He was the first Anti-Christ who was knighted, in 1700.
When he was done with William after his death in 1702, Medina began offering his services to the 1st Duke of Marlborough, John Churchill (yes that Churchill family) during the War of the Spanish Succession (1702–14). A member of Parliament noticed that Marlborough gave a yearly stipend of £6,000 to "the jew Medina" and said so.
Medina left his son, Moses de Medina in London to run the family's affairs, one of which was the newly created bank of England, of which Medina was a founding stockholder.
He was also the largest contributor to the first syn-of-gog in England in 1701.
