🚀💡 Tips for Telegram

You can easily make a reminder for messages that you've read but want to reply later.
With this workaround, you can only mark messages as "unread" for yourself!

Simply swipe left on the message (or click on the message and then tap "reply")
When you go back to the main screen, it will say "draft" next to an empty text field and the chat will move to the top.
This will remind you to respond later

2018-01-31 17:51:51 Most likely, there will be a Telegram update and several announcements coming today.
One rumor is the introduction of 'Telegram X', which is an alternative Telegram client based on TDLib, with higher speed, slicker animations and additional features.
In order to know the differences between the 'normal' Telegram app and 'Telegram X', I created a list of additional and lacking features of TgX.
Please note that TgX is not officially announced (yet) and that it can be updated several times before it might get officially adopted to the Telegram Apps (this is a rumor!).

The list will be modified quite often in the next days, so make sure you don't miss the latest added features

2018-01-10 19:42:37 Adding to this, researchers found significant gaps in WhatsApp's security in summer and announced them openly just couple of days ago: it might be able for someone to effortlessly insert new people/scouts into a group chat. In the worst case, participants wouldn't even notice this.
Whatsapp said that there's no big risk and that they won't change/update it for now, so they didn't pay the bug-finding reward of 5,000$.
According to the researchers, Signal and Threema have similar but smaller security issues.
The researchers recommend to avoid sending sensitive data via whatsapp group chats, if possible.

2018-01-07 23:39:57 Advertising companies were able to see the phone numbers of Facebook users. In their privacy policy, Facebook actually promised to not share such private data...
I remeber when WhatsApp promised to not share data with facebook and then doing it a couple of years later.

By the way: facebook paid a reward of 5,000$ to the researchers who found that possibility. Telegram will pay anyone who finds a weak spot in Telegram's encryption a reward of 300,000$ (thats 60 times more!).
