1-Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu laid the foundation stone for the “Innovation & Development Centre” at the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) in Bengaluru.

6-The wholesale price-based inflation softened for the second straight month to 11.16 per cent in July on cheaper food items, even though prices of manufactured goods and crude oil hardened. 


खाद्य वस्तुओं के दाम घटने से थोक मूल्य सूचकांक आधारित मुद्रास्फीति जुलाई में लगातार दूसरे महीने घटकर 11.16 प्रतिशत पर आ गई, हालांकि इस दौरान विनिर्मित वस्तुओं तथा कच्चे तेल की कीमतों में बढ़ोतरी भी हुई।



7-A trust named after renowned film critic and director Chidananda Dasgupta is set to celebrate his birth centenary year in November with screenings, memorial lectures and exhibition of his works.

8-To mark the 75th Independence Day of the country, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh announced development projects worth Rs 1,200 crore for linking roads, along with a slew of welfare programs for the Scheduled Castes. 


देश के 75 वें स्वतंत्रता दिवस के मौके पर पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री अमरिंदर सिंह ने सड़कों को जोड़ने के लिए 1,200 करोड़ रुपये की विकास परियोजनाओं और अनुसूचित जातियों के लिए कल्याणकारी कार्यक्रमों की घोषणा की।



9-As many as 45 people were conferred with state awards by Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh for their 'valuable contributions' and 'dedicated services' to the society.
