Set on the edge of the Arsi Mountains Park, sitting at 2,800m, Bokoji is the home to many of Ethiopia's world class athletes including Derartu Tulu, Fatuma Roba, the Bekele brothers and Dibaba sisters. We are going to drive down to the nearby town of Asella on Friday 13 May after school & work at about 4pm. On Saturday morning we will continue the 56km on to Bokoji where we will enjoy by foot or bike the surrounding highlands of the Arsi mountains, or train with the boys and girls from the local athletics club which will be the future Ethiopian running stars. On Sunday morning we will either participate in the Great Bokoji Run, a 7km running course, or we will head for a 15km bike ride leading out and back into the town.
