Scientists in South Korea have developed a tattoo for health monitoring. The tattoo ink, made from liquid metal and carbon nanotubes, is applied over the skin and functions like a bioelectrode. Connected to an electrocardiogram device or other biosensor, it can send data about the patient's heart rate and other vital signs, such as blood sugar levels.
Because the tattoo is made of liquid metal, it will not wear off or fade over time and the patient can have absolutely any design on him or her.
