Dual fuel container ships from Maersk
Danish conglomerate Maersk announced the beginning of building new vessels for its cargo fleet.
A special feature of the as yet unnamed container ships is that their power plant will run on two fuels - standard low-sulfur and methanol.
The latter will ensure practically zero CO2 emissions. Commissioning of the first vessel is scheduled for 2024.
