DEAnsect elastic robot
Swiss researchers have set themselves quite a challenge - to develop a mini-robot capable of surviving the destructive effects of the elements and shock loads.
Their creation DEAnsect is an elastic robot that moves on three limbs at the expense of contractions of artificial muscles. At the same time, with a rather strong blow with a fly swatter, it does not get significant damage and is able to continue to perform the task.
The speed of its movement is 3 cm/sec. Moreover, the extreme version of the robot has its own battery, a small microcontroller and even photodiode eyes.
