Goldfish were taught to dash across land in mobile aquariums
Israeli engineers from Ben-Gurion University have designed a control system for goldfish that allows them to use a land transportation platform.
The design of the mobile aquarium is deliberately simplified so as not to interfere with the study of fish behavior. The plexiglass tank is placed on a platform with four wheels that can move and unfold it. Above the water is a lidar that monitors the movements of the fish, and a special program interprets them as commands to move.
