The Boring Company will build unusual garages
Ilon Musk's high-powered tunneling company is preparing to introduce yet another solution. The Hawthorne City Council has given the Boring Company permission to build a tunnel that will combine various above-ground garages with a system of underground tunnels.
First of all, the company must ensure that its idea will not worsen road conditions in any way. It will also need to provide more precise plans before construction begins, which in the case of building underground in densely populated areas is absolutely reasonable. So it's hard to say exactly when the project will start.
It is worth recalling that the Boring Company is already building a 3.2 km long tunnel under Los Angeles, and will soon begin work on another that will connect downtown Chicago with the international airport. First of all, specially designed passenger pods will travel in them, but eventually the tunnels should also be available for passenger cars.
