China is starting to build the largest photovoltaic power plant in history
The Celestial Empire has set itself the ambitious goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2060, which involves moving away from fossil fuel-based energy production methods.
China Huadian Corporation, one of the three largest energy companies in the Middle Kingdom, is responsible for this, which until now has been focused on generating energy by burning coal and gas.
China Huadian Corporation has decided to change this balance by opting for solar farms - the largest of them (and at the same time the largest in the world) should have a target capacity of 3.3 GW.
