Airbus will produce its own hydrogen engines
Why is this important for the industry and startups?
The global passenger aircraft industry has two giants - American Boeing, which cannot recover from the problems associated with the 737 model. And the French Airbus.
The hydrogen engine is, on top of everything else, the ESG agenda. That is, Airbus may become popular with "conscious investors." Now that news about the new engine has leaked online, the company will have to invest in "green development" whether or not it wants to.
And that means buying relevant startups and boosting their stock prices. Because it's fashionable. And it drives the competitor out of the market.
