Ton.Place - a second VK or Durov's new social network?
Just the other day, former VKontakte developer Andrey Goglev launched his social network ton.place based on the TON blockchain. Let's look into it.
It looks like a combination of VK and Twitter, with personal profiles and channels, as well as a recommendations and subscriptions feed. It is possible to look at the content, but most of the functionality, including the ability to subscribe or create a channel, is available on a paid subscription, which costs 2 TON per month.
Of this amount, 5% is taken by the platform and the user who invited you, and the rest is distributed among the authors you subscribe to and like. In this way, the authors earn on their content.
In three days, the social network already has 20,000 users, including Morgenstern and other celebrities.
