A 17-year-old engineer from the United States has created a mechanical arm that can be controlled by thought. Using a printer and fishing line, Benjamin Choi made the first model of the arm, which he subsequently transformed 75 times.
The invention now consists of a strong material capable of withstanding a load of up to 4 tons. The arm is controlled by an AI algorithm and electroencephalography, which records the electrical activity of the brain with sensors on the head. The sensors pick up the movement of brain waves and send them to a microchip in the prosthetic arm via Bluetooth.
But the most important advantage of the developed prosthesis is its price - only $300.
