A paralyzed racer can start a car with 850 horsepower with the power of his mind. Aldan Zuniga was in a car accident in 2013, which left him paralyzed from the waist down. But nine years later, he was back behind the wheel, thanks to a neuro-implant developed by American doctors and engineers.

This is a car control system based on two chips: one embedded in the driver's brain, the other in the car. The microchip transmits electrical signals from the brain to the computer, which interprets them and triggers the appropriate mechanisms in the car. The driver also wears a helmet, which is responsible for turning by picking up head movements, and Aldan's braking is aided by a breathing tube attached to the helmet.
